Shawl-Collar Traveler’s Dress
Featured in Fall 1986 through Spring 1987 in black and khaki. From the catalogue: “Italian cotton knit is one of our favorite fabrics for travel: reasonless, wrinkle-shedding, flatteringly drape, it looks as fresh over a midnight grappa as it does over morning cappuccino. Our Traveler’s Dress has side slits to liberate your legs, deep side-seam pockets in which to warm your hands, and a thickly ribbed collar to turn up against the scirocco or roll down under a southern sun. In versatile neutrals; virtually a one-piece travel wardrobe.”

Do you know where to find that dress today—May 2023? I had saved for months and finally bought one back in the day, in black. I would love to wear one today.
And btw…i still have the entire collection of the original catalogues. I used to read every story over and over and dream of traveling and wearing their clothes. It was better than comic books and movies and romance novels. 🙂
