Shoulder Loop Shirt

This shirt came up in February 2021, but I’m unable to locate it in any catalogues. It’s a linen/cotton blend made in Hong Kong and is distinguished by loops on the shoulders, we think they are called glove loops.

A red version of the same design but in 100% cotton and made in India.

A green verison….

    Hi Robyn,

I have a shirt like this one. It has the same thin shoulder loops, but it is in a Khaki color. It is 100% cotton, but the material doesn’t look like the linen shirt or the red colored shirt. I think mine is a cotton twill. And I don’t think I ordered this through the catalog. I’m pretty sure I bought it at one of the stores. The tag features the “safari and travel clothing” logo, which would indicate that I must have purchased it sometime in 1988 or later. I’m happy to send photos if you’d like.

I think I had this shirt, the yellowish one on top. I didn’t remember the loops, but seeing it after so many years, I believe mine did have the loops. It was always a favorite; very comfortable and I always wanted another one to replace it. I thikg they called it a French Cafe Shirt. I’ve never seen anything like it since. The early catalogues were great. You could always find something unusual.
