Donegal Tweed Shirt Jacket
From the Fall 1984 “Outfitters To An Empire” catalogue which detailed the Ziegler’s adventures sourcing traditional garment manufacturers in the UK: “Stride through the misty bogs, hands deep in deep pockets, thoughts deep in iambic pentameter–what else is a jacket for? Here’s a handwoven Donegal tweed shirtjacket that is character itself, oozing amenities like leather buttons and a buttery leather neckband. Perhaps if Yeats had the chance to wear one, he would have reflected longer before pining, “Romantic Ireland’s dead and gone.”
