Linen Shirt
From the Spring 88 catalogue: “Linen, the product of the flax plant, has long been known as the softest, strongest, lightest, drapiest, coolest, most absorbent, quickest-drying fiber on earth. Unfortunately, in modern times, linen has been priced beyond reach. We were lucky to get a deal on some of the world’s finest linen (Belgian), which we took to the world’s most renowned linen mill (Brazilian). Inspired by the world’s most classic shirt designs (Italian), we crafted a shirt as unpretentious as Brussels, as crisp as the Carioca, as cool as Italian ice.”
I’ve got this shirt hanging in my closet, as of today 7/21/2022.
I’ve owned it since I bought it at the Harvard Square, Cambridge store in the late 1980s.
still looks great.
