Fjord Shirt
This shirt is similar to in style to the Equestrienne Shirt. It was made in Fall 1985 and came in three striped variations.
From the catalogue: “We found the prototype for this crisp cotton shirt in Norway, but took it to the other end of the earth–spectacular Fiordland National Park in sounternmost New Zealand–to find inspiration for the cool, clear stripes we’ve used in redesigning it. In its understated, oversized way, it’s one of the most striking shirts a woman could own… cavalry front (to be worn buttoned or open), dropped shoulders, full dolman sleeves, extra-long tails that stay put inside riding trousers or drape gracefully under a wide belt. A thoroughly romantic shirt that pays fitting homage to both countries of origin.”
