Manifesta is a community oriented hair salon in Oakland. They wanted a brochure promoting their move to a new location and asked to include a fun map of the neighborhood to encourage their clients to explore the area and get comfortable with the new location. We came up with the idea to promote taking selfies of hairstyles at the locations on the map. We illustrated the idea with digitally painted ink drawings and created a map and brochure that’s fun, colorful and complex yet useable and readable. Folded in a 3-way z-fold with an extra tab made for a popular and fun brochure. We also created a short-term website promoting the move before launching a new website in partnership with Web Revamp.
