Jeanne Henzel of Joona Fabriculture wanted to create a fun sign for her new location in Alameda in a lovely indoor mall on Park Street. Jeanne has a wonderful personality and signature look that was easy to turn into an illustrated character portrait. The myriad of color, pattern and paint that she uses in her business and sell to her clients were a delight to draw in the whimsical style the project called for. Rather than do a permanent printed sign we created a white signboard with re-positional vinyl clings, so she can mix and match elements to create new signs whenever she likes.
